CHESS KLUB runs live online chess classes for kids aged 5–15, from complete beginners to tournament players. Each class is 1 hour, once a week, in a group batch of up to 20 students or 1:1, at the same time every week. Batches run in Indian and US evenings, on weekdays and weekends. Every level follows a curriculum designed under Grandmaster Sahaj Grover.

Beginner Level 1
Goal
Transform complete beginners into confident chess players who understand all rules and can play full games.
Structure
- Typically about 16 weeks
- Designed for absolute beginners
- 1 class a week, 1 hour
- Your child moves up when the coach's assessment shows they're ready. Some finish sooner, some need longer.

- Master all piece movements and special rules

THE CURRICULUM
A curriculum designed under Grandmaster Sahaj Grover
Grandmaster Sahaj Grover won the Under-10 World Youth Chess Championship in 2005 and became a Grandmaster in 2012. Today he leads the design of the CHESS KLUB curriculum, so every online batch, from Beginner Level 1 to Advanced Level 2, follows the same structured path he built.
He also runs periodic masterclasses that CHESS KLUB students can join, with separate enrolment.

While our demo videos provide a glimpse into our teaching style, all CHESS KLUB (ck) enrollments are for 100% live, instructor-led sessions. This allows students to ask questions in real-time, participate in interactive board analysis, and receive immediate feedback from our expert coaches.
What platform do you use for online coaching?
We use high-performance, interactive platforms (such as Zoom integrated with professional chess interfaces like LiChess or Chess.com) to ensure students can see the board clearly and move pieces during the lesson.
What happens if my child misses a live online session?
We understand that schedules can be busy. All our live sessions are recorded and made available to students in their ck dashboard, ensuring they never fall behind the curriculum.
Is the online curriculum the same as the in-person centers?
Yes. Whether online or at a physical center, every student follows the same GM-architected syllabus. The goals, outcomes, and tactical milestones remain consistent across all CHESS KLUB platforms to ensure global excellence.
How do you determine the right online level for my child?
After you send an enquiry, our counsellor calls you to understand your child's chess background. Complete beginners start straight in Beginner Level 1. If your child already plays, we arrange a free online level assessment with one of our coaches to place them in the right batch. Want to see a class first?
